contact sheets processing time in lightroom?

    im making 9 pages of contact sheets using lightroom.

    its taking...forever... like over 10 secs per image, they are in .nefs, but seriously am i doing something wrong... this is gonna take hours...

    I'm not really a lightroom user but sounds like something is amiss, I only did it once and to be honest had to be guided through the steps as I had never done it before but only took a few minutes to set up and print a2 sheets of images.

    its doin them, 5x8 sheets, i dunno, 2gb of ram showing its worth me thinks

    I had PaulW walking me through the steps when I tried to do it before. If you could convert all to jpeg in another folder it should be easy enough to do it in the normal image viewer in windows. I dont often print contact sheets thankfully, seems like a bit of hassle alright.

    converting 300 raws to jpeg will take just as long me thinks:(

    i view them (.nef) in picasa and then select them all and export to pictures folder.
    nef to jpeg in seconds
