Where would you NOT wanna Live? and why?

For me its a got to be a village, I lived in one already and to be honest if you wanna pass from this world in a state of paranoia then go live in one :pac:

I find it to be too gossipy for my liking. for example when I was living in the highlands of scotland I'd be in me back garden clipping my fingernails, then five minutes later I'm down the local shop and your wan says ''you should use a bowl for those clippings'' the shock the shock. I mean news travels fast man.

Biggins the questions is where would you not wanna live, not where would you like to live :P

I couldn't live full-time in the countryside proper. It would have to be at least a village, but at the end of the day I'm happiest in a quiet/suburban part of a city.

Would be great to have a place in the countryside for visiting though.

    Opps! :D

    Ok. I'm game.
I wouldn't want to live in a big city (anywhere).
Currently working on the move to my favourite town as above.

    Where I live now :)

Suburbs, close to city, close to sea, close to mountains

edit: NOT want to live, D'oh, in that case the bog end of nowhere is out for me.

A "rurban" place - civilisation but with countryside aspects to it (e.g. woods).

I don't wanna live in the country side.
    Its too open.
I prefer being surrounded by people but having my own little space.

Ah yes, I forgot, education and enlightment stops at the edge of that horrible chavtastic concrete jungle known as 'Cork City'.

And 'civilisation' is spelt with a 'z', unless you happen to be an illiterate yank. ;)

OP, the countryside - I like nature, peace and quiet, tranquility and low crime rates, and it is, by far, the best place to raise a family.

Yeah the question should have an affirmative phrasing.

The OP obv never learned how to make a survey.

I agree with you here, I'm originally from a small village. It's fine and all, there's good and bad people but you can't get away from the fact that everyone knows your business. So yeah, village for me.

Well my village had one spar shop joined to the post office and then just one pub to congregate in. you either became an alcoholic or you became a fitness fanatic.

I've never lived in a village but some of them look really pretty. Still, judging by the over-nosiness of the neighbours mentioned by people I'm thinking they'd bug me after a while. Guess I'm not a Village Person. (not meaning to get YMCA stuck in anyone's head or anythin'...)

I would not want to live in a completely rural countryside location. I like being close to retail, food and cinema complexes. A town would be best for me. Towns have almost everything you need but are still small enough to have a community feel to them. Then you can pop into and out of the city when you need some excitement :D

I would NOT want to live in a village. I'm quite private so I'd get irritated if I had nosey neighbours.

I live in a large town surrounded by countryside but close enough to the city. Perfect. :)

    somalia or antarctica

in all seriousness this is an impossible question to answer, i have been to some villages and they are great and some cities (e.g. phoenix arizona) which are completely dead but then i have been to some cities and they are amazing and i would love to live there and some villages that i wouldn't want to live anywhere near

Aye well the village I visited I thought was deadly until I lived in it for a a few years :)

It's not where you are, it's who you're with.

for me it's a few miles from a fairly decent sized town but by the sea and far enough away from the neighbours so I can howl at the moon if I want to .

Edit .Oooops I got the question arseways.

I have lived in a village , a town and a city , I enjoyed them all . If pushed i would say village , too much hearsay goes on it villages.

you don't know what a person or village is like till you live with or in them ;)

living in a village means a lack of amenties obviously or lack of anything if living in an irish village :p

    Country side
I currently live in the complete countryside, well for someone who can't drive:p, it's boring as fcuk. I live a mile away from thee village(one pub and a shop) and two mile from the town(6 pubs, 2 bookies, 2 cafés, 5 chippers(), sports shop, a Centra, 3 garages(the shop kind, not mechanics:p) and 4 sweet shops). I'd hate to live in a big city or town, too impersonal for me, tbh. I'd like to live in a town or village, like I described but perhaps not those particular places.

City is a definate no-no for me, though.
