    The other side of that is, we all know silly off topic stuff isn't allowed. We know flirting is frowned on. We all know it but many of us do it. Indeed, part of the fun of it is we know a certain amount of it is allowed.

    I just wonder what this new thread will achieve. A licence to flirt?
    Flirting with the same few female regulars on here gets boring! :o

    So, maybe outline what this thread will bring to to AH, rather than what it takes away. It just seems to be a mopping up of stuff that isn't allowed here type thread.

    If it keeps that 'Off topic' banter / flirting away from the threads, it can only be a good thing.

    The 'On-topic banter would still go on as why would someone go to another thread to have fun regarding the topic of another? Just wouldn't happen.

    Well that is positive in itself.

    Mopping up that stuff will have a knock-on effect.

    A lot of threads get derailed and just die because they have turned into a chat-fest.

    If there is 'On-topic' banter and fun, the thread thrives.

    The thread could also be a place to meet the regulars just like The Lair is in the Nocturnal forum.

    I sure would have liked something like that when I first was posting here.

    After Hours can be an intimidating place for a newbie, a place to chat with regs, ask a question etc, could only be positive.

    Again, the suggestion of a negative clique being formed I find funny as the type of people I see using that thread, are the nicest bunch on AH.

    Plus, those that hate the flirting, will no longer have to witness it at the degree that they have done so far.

    It does matter. You see AH as allowing flirting, others don't.

    Again, will you stop the clique stuff. Cliques develop. It happens. People will perceive this thread as a clique, rightly or wrongly.
