Which tyres for Roubaix 700x23/25c?

The tyres need replacing on my Roubaix Elite. The ones in place are the original Pro Roubaix 700x23/25c.

What size tyre should I get to match the 23/25c part of that?

I liked the tyres that are on it but are there better choices for Wicklow mountain roads?

    Many thanks.

    Andrew

The tyres would be either 23 or 25, not both. That is the tyre width. The tube could be both, tubes do a number of tyre sizes. I'd say probably get 700x25 unless you are racing. It makes little difference to speed (there is a slight aero penalty with the wider tyre) and it makes the ride more comfortable as you can run slightly lower pressures.

Many thanks. Got a 25 today and it is more comfortable, which is nice when you're pothole-dodging around Glencree.
