NAT type 2 problem

    i got bad company the other day and every time i try to go online with it i lose connection with ea servers. i am using o2 broaadband and a wired connection and getting nat type 2 i was told change it to 1 but i dont know how can someone please help.

    cant help sorry, but i would have thought nat type 2 would be fine for online play ?

    what are your results off speedtest.net

    NAT 2 is fine for BC2.
    Don't just do speedtest - also look here http://www.pingtest.net/

    By O2 broadband do you mean mobile broadband? If so then the pingtest is really what you need to run to see what issues may exist.

    yes it is the mobile broadband it did work fine with mw2 but someone on here already told me it had somethin to do with servers on mw2 being better

    They were lying - there are no servers on MW2

    If you can play everything fine on MW2 then BC2 should be fine. Only things I can think of outside of BB connection could be
    - lack of VIP pack? (Some of our clan didn't have this and they get kicked as we move to those maps).
    - bad connection from O2 to BC2 servers (you could just be lucky with MW2 users)

    Does your PSN connection drop a lot, or just BC2?
    Reason I ask, is MW2 seems (from what I can tell) to more tolerant of bad connections between peers and only checks the presence servers at the start and end of the game, any lag in between is yours to deal with...

    never got a bit of lag from mw2 or skate 2 but for what ever reason when i am a few mins in bc i get kicked the map doesnt change i get kicked too soon

    Can I ask how you connect your connect your ps3 to the internet?
    Is it through a router or just through your laptop.
    I'm using a router and cannot for the life of me get NAT 2.

    Please help!

    from my laptop to my ps3 i think my problem was just with most ea games as i cannot keep connection with nfs undercover
