Possibly the wrong forum (I'm fairly sure it is, but bear with me)

Remember the wezz? (I refrained from calling it the wezz in the title for fear of being laughed at!)

Anyway, if you're from my era, born late '80s to early '90s, you'll probably remember that this weekly event was what your teenage-self's calendar revolved around.

Any songs you remember from this era?

I remember that place, of course I went to the one where they served drink to people that were ''over 18''.

    Good times.

I was born in the late 80s but I'm from Galway. We had a thing called the "Millennium Madness." Well, I say "we" inaccurately as I was never allowed go. Instead, I stayed at home. Alone. Kind of like how I stayed at home, alone, tonight. I also work in a box factory.

    I hate you all.

For people from the midlands, I think the wezz is the Dublin equivalent of the Harriers

That place is such a dump... I live just down the road from it and I'm still surprised to see buses from all over the midlands coming there. I hardly ever had a good night there and it's so cringe worthy to look back on bebo pictures from the Harriers!

I drove past this football club's changing room and was told it was this fabled Wezz place.

    Was that it?

    Harriers FTW!

The place where 13-year olds become over 16 all of a sudden 'cos they got the lend of a card off yer man.:P

I still go and I still have the lend of a card off a fellah who regularly got fcuked out for fighting. Because of that I get searched for weapons when going in.:o

But I'm 16 Monday so I don't have to go to that shíthole anymore, I get to go out proper now.

Was that the place where you'd see the half-naked female children running across the Stillorgan Road in Donnybrook on a night dressed up like half-naked female adults?

    Seriously embarrassing stuff.

Ah the Wes. Used to go there in the eighties. Naggins of vodka while waiting in the queue, hanging out the back smoking whatever, waiting all night for the Lovecats by the Cure to come on, running in dread from the dancefloor when the slow sets came on.....great craic

Yeah I used to go. I even managed to get a membership, lol. It's great craic when you're 14 and 15.
