because we dont have the midfield for it and it seems we're moving away from the 4-4-2

Oh absolutely, I agree. Still feel that Fergie could've used a bit of foresight though. He probably knew Ronaldo was going to leave, that Rooney would occupy a more central role, why not sign Tevez and revert to a 4-4-2 again? Even with the signing of Valencia and the way the team is set up a lot of the time (especially in non-"big" games) is 4-4-2 with conventional wingers.

Yeah as HS says United haven't the midfielders to get away with two CM's at the moment.

Also I think the days of a straight 4-4-2 might be past, fewer and fewer top teams are using it these days. It can be easily outnumbered in midfield with a 4-2-3-1 which seems to be all the rage these days if you have a top striker.

Half-time with a shorter-haired Alexi Lalas and Boro legend Robbie Mustoe tbh!

No wonder Americans are so fat. My stream had an ad for a burger, but instead of buns, it was 2 chicken fillets. WTF?

Maybe they won't win the league, but the balance of power still lies with the red half of Manchester. Still in the shadows Citeh, despite your Arab lucre.:)

A few good point today... Scholes, Neville, Evra, Vidic, van der Sar, Evans and Fletcher all played well today.

Gibson and Giggs were poor for me today.

I'm too happy to critisize(sp?) any United players.:p
Giggs was less good than everyone else.:pac:

Great selection from Fergie today imo.

Doing the double over City feels good. Hope they STFU for a while now. I would love to see Garry Cooks face :D

If Spurs win, I'll never say a bad thing about Sir Harry again.

Fanastic result - was literally sitting here with my eyes welling up when Scholesly bagged the winner :o

Also, the fact that carrick didn't get a look it at all is a good sign that he is on his way, which also means that *surely* we'll have to buy a new midfielder during the summer.

You have to love this sport. I was absolutely sick thinking the title race was all over and then up pops Scholes. From despair to delirium within seconds.

Have to say it was more than deserved as United were all over City for large spells.

I thought you had poxed it during the weeek by preedicting the win. Deeelighted to say you were wrong. Its nice to have a bit of hope, if even for a few hours.

Yeah I was wondering if I'd poxed it myself. I had this strong feeling United would win it convincingly and during the first half I was sure that was how it was going to pan out but not quite. :pac:
