Unreal Tournament 3 Split-screen bots?

Considering picking up Unreal tournament 3 for cheap. Just wondering does the added split screen allow bots to be used, eg if you have 2 players you can fill the rest with bots? Also is the online multiplayer still active much? Cheers

never used the split screen.
BUT I do know the multiplayer is still active. Not as big as it once was, but you will get a few games. Greed and War appear to be the most populated.
