    Got this email the other day and thought i would share it with you fine people, to help put things in context the next time Mr. Lennihan is telling you that you owe him €74 billion and that if you dont have it, he's sending Harney round:eek:

    A billion is a difficult number to comprehend,
    but one advertising agency did a good job of
    putting that figure into some perspective in
    one of its releases.

    1 Billion seconds ago it was 1959

    1 Billion minutes ago Jesus was alive (allegedly!)

    1 Billion hours ago it was the stone age

    1 Billion days ago no one walked the earth on two feet

    Did you count them? if so try again, there's less than a quarter of a million in 7 packs...

    1 billion = approx 330,000 1lb packs of rice... It's a lot of rice, innit...

    1,000,000/1440=694.4 days = 1.901 years

    694.4 daysx1000= 694,400 days
