My local Tesco is selling BOHEME 1795 CZECH Lager for 10c/can (40cents for 4) 4.7% alcohol.

I don't think its the greatest beer in the world but certainly not the worst and for 10cents a can how can u go wrong. Cheaper than water.

its a misprint... its not that price on there web site. Why dont you buy a few

If its not on your website than its really only a local thing. I logged on to Tesco.ie yesterday with my address etc. and I saw the same deal advertised but thought its a misprint. So when I checked today they were really selling it for that price.

However if you log on to Tesco.ie online shopping from lets say Galway and look for that beer and its not 10cents than the deal is really limited to my Tesco. Not that I mind but it would be nice for other people to benefit too.

P.S. Wanted to add image with the price from Tesco.ie but I seem to be only able to link to image and not upload one. Did they change this or did I forget how to do it?

I didn't really wanna say to avoid the beer pilgrimage and for me to have a chance to get some more cans but its available in Sligo. Well it was as of 30 min ago when I got the last 8 cans for 80cents.

Didn't ask if they have more but will check back later tonight. I assume they run the offer as long as they have any of these cans left.

p.S. Its also available online and if I knew how to upload images I would show it.

Confirmed as 40cent for 4 on tesco.ie with a Galway city address.

Finally someone believes me - lol. And considering Galway has it too I assume its nation wide.

50 cent for 4 when delivering to South Dublin address. It's just down as "Tesco Premium Lager 4x440ml" for me.

Pubs are not allowed have happy hours because it encourages binge drinking. But tesco can do this? I'm all for free drink but there should be a level playing field.

As I said offer is only because they want to get rid of this particular brand. Its not to advertise beer and once its gone which probably happens very fast its done.

As for pubs I wouldn't mind if they were allowed Happy Hour. Works fine in other countries and considering the current economic situation pubs probably wouldn't mind either.

All I see for that money is this piss

    http://www.tesco.ie/groceries/Product/Details/?id=250035553

    2%? I wouldn't pay 10c for it

Pubs are not allowed have happy hours because it encourages binge drinking.

Whereas the earliest closing times in Europe (both for off-licences and licenced presmises) encourages it? I mean FFS

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 246 ✭✭rh5555

Yeah thats not it - i tried the stuff you mentioned once but never again.

As for for the Happy Hour I agree. I think its just so Pubs can charge more for the drinks rather than lower their prices. The whole encouraging drinking is just an excuse. As I said it works fine in other countries.

Tyskie Polish Can 500Ml only 50c on the tesco website:eek:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 246 ✭✭rh5555

Might be a local deal. Checked for my region and Tyskie is 1.79 online and I would have seen it today in-store if it were cheaper than that.

If you can pick it up for 50cents its a great price

Well I was in tesco today and didn't see this. Do they have special online offers? because i seen single 330ml bottles of budweiser on the website for 40c each aswell!

I ordered 48 cans of the 10c stuff :P Limerick City btw.

Due to arrive tomorrow but I assume they wont.

Could it just be a techniccal glitch?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 246 ✭✭rh5555

No they really sell it for 40cents because I bought it in-store for 40cents. However if they run out of it they can't deliver it.

    Madness! :D

    A potentially great bargain!

People seem to be confused between two different deals here.

This is going at 40c for 4 cans - 2% alcohol content, probably ****e

This is going at 50c for 4 cans - 5% alcohol content, probably also ****e

Have just ordered 48 cans of the latter for delivery tomorrow.
Can't go wrong with 2 crates for a tenner including delivery (even it is muck).

Anyone know what time can they sell beer from on a Wednesday morning?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 246 ✭✭rh5555

Ron DMC - sorry you are confused neither one of the ones you are showing is the beer we or at least I am talking about.[/B][/URL]

The beer is called BOHEME 1795 PILSEN - ORIGINAL IMPORT.

Doesn't say anything about TESCO on the can

BTW. I tried the TESCO Value LAger once and that was one time too many.

P.S. My local tesco online grocery also has this: Peeterman Artois4% Premium Lager6 X 330Ml for 2euro. Never tried this stuff but seems like a good price too.

My mistake so. Good deals on the other two anyway.

Can't seem to find the Boheme Czech beer on their website at all though.

Just put Boheme in the search field. If it doesn't find it than your Tesco doesn't have it.
