I'm looking to get my hair cut and I don't want to spend any money...cause I'm like that. I thought it would be interesting to get an apprentice to cut my hair and that could benefit both of us.

    I'm in Dublin.

    Any takers?

My advice is, don't do it! My friend's an apprentice barber and I let him do it. It did not end well. Chunks we taken out of my hair and it wasn't even at all.

You should go to a barbers or hair-dressers on a student night where you'll get half price or look out for special offers, which are all over Dublin. I really think you'd be much better off

Hmmm....I'll have to get some kind of credentials first me thinks.

Did you know your friend was going to be that crap?

My friend had her hair done by a girl who was still training and it turned out awful too. She had to borrow money to go get it fixed elsewhere and it ended up costing her a lot more than what she wanted to spend in the beginning

Ah come on most places in Dublin are a fiver Mon-Tues/Weds, surely you can afford that?

I lie, it's not all about the money. But judging by the replies, I'd steal €5 for a haircut

Trainee hairdressers are usually fine, depending on where you go, and how supervised they are. Heres a thread I started on it a while ago
