Did you open the top piece? That spring is sitting vertically, it should be horizontal.

Also, I'm having leaks from my fill valve, the rings started to fall apart as I pused them out. Gonna grease it up now and see if I cant get a good seal, then to try the chrono again.

Think we have a breakthrough, its been like that since I got it, I did open it but never thought of changing the alignment of the spring. Going to change it first thing tomorrow and see what happens. Thanks for the help :)

    The mag:

The best shot I could get of the valve:

    wvcqs0.jpg

The o-rings on the valve are fine, despite how the photo looks :)

Top of the mag is wrong I think.

Take off the clip holding down the rubber gasket.

Take little plastic frame out of gasket.

Take out brass tube and spring.

Put them in so the spring is at the back and brass cylinder at the front.

    It should cycle now.

When you re-install the striker valve, put it in so the brass is flush, then in a little further, not until it stops turning.

Alternatively it could be that the striker valve was over tightened, and you don't need to change the gasket assembly at all.

Try adjusting the depth of the striker valve first.

Quick update. You're were both spot on about the top of the mag. Refitted as you said, Stercus and tried it, cycled fine! However, thats only half the story. After firing two rounds it was back to square one, that's when I heard the rattling in the mag, took it apart and the upper piece of the fill valve was bouncing around inside . Still trying to get it sorted, about to give up on the mag as a lost cause. Going to try and get a Maruzen original.

You can reassemble the inlet valve unless it broke.

Mine's been leaking again. I thought it was the fill valve. After I takedown and reassemble I've found it isnt. Its the seal on the base plate:eek: Goddamnit.

Little bottle of brake fluid, soak the rubber for a half hour, retry.

It engorges the rubber, car brakes cant afford to leak you see.

Dex told me that one ages back, and its always worked.

I reseated and greased it to see and it worked, I think. Pretty sure there's no leak but I'll submerge it later to verify.
