Cigarette lighter wont work

Hi all Hope this is the right place for this. I have a 03 mazda 6. I bought a thingy the other day to play my ipod through the radio by plugging it into the cigarette lighter, It wouldnt work so I checked the lighter itself and that doesnt work. I have the car 3 years and dont smoke so I never used it.. It pushes in…

Hi all

Hope this is the right place for this.

It pushes in alright but just stays in and doesnt pop out or get hot

Any ideas?

First thing i would do is check the fuse controlling it is not blown.

Your owners manual will tell you where the fuse box is and the symbol corresponding to the fuse.
