Is there a CHEAP stock market course in Ireland?

Hi there, Im looking for a course that gives me all the background information i need about the Irish stock market. I dont want to do a course that shows me how to 'make money straight away' (as some of them say), i actually want to know how the whole thing works. I want to be able to do my own research in the future…

Hi there,

I want to be able to do my own research in the future rather that paying a broker to do it or investing in a mutual fund. Anyone point me in the right direction?

I have no idea about what courses are available.

A quick google found this crowd http://www.ticnireland.ie/ the invertment club of ireland.

But if I wanted to learn how to manage my own investments I would start by giving myself a virtual investment fund and see if I could pick good stock that increases in value.

When you say you need a course to give you information about the irish stock market do you mean how to go about buying shares or about the companies that are listed on the market.

There is some good info on the financial regulators site http://www.itsyourmoney.ie/index.jsp?pID=126&nID=330 about stocks and shares.
