only why I can see is, by buying a cheap Blu ray player... that is if there even the same drives or a PC with one it.. as far as I know you can't yet buy them seperately... can I ask how it's your 4th PS3

wow... thats bad luck... have you still got all the PS3's just got an idea.. take all of the broken ones. and take out all the broken bits and use the working bits to make on working one:P an idea?:P haha

there's a few drives but the problem is that the blu ray drive acts as the game drive too so it's gonna be hard to find a replacement... unless someone here or on Ebay is seling one

is the disc drive makin a noise?grindin?sayin not a game disc or whatever,had that problem with a few xboxs,easy fix,open it up get into drive and clean the rods that the laser runs up an down to read disc,gets grime an dust build up and stops it from readin,worth a try

yea,sounds like the same thing,open it up an clean it and try a game before closin it.oh and while your at it clean the lens with nail polish remover.look
at some of the how to vids on youtube,it really is easy,first time i done it i didnt see any vids,just told over xbox live how to

Surprisingly I'm still on me first one since Xmas 08.
The only problems I really have with mine is that I can frezze sometimes and I'ed have to restart it and trying to get to Nat type 2 as I'ed sometimes have to reset the broadband modem and run a network setting test to see if its on Nat type 2 and UPnP is Available.

Had my PS3 since Nov 07 too, got it the day Modern Warfare came out. Only issue I've had is that it freezes the odd time. Assassins Creed 2 made it freeze quite a lot but other than that, no problems.

I'm not too sure for myself but I think its 2nd prestage level 49 :rolleyes:

And i'm doing it the proper way,not like some of my mates boosting up to 10th prestage.
