Glue dimmer switch to handle of striker LAMP

As of late my success rate at foxing had dramatically increased in Mar I have six tails. I have a .233 T3 lite, telescopic bipod (allows you so sit using bi-pod), S&B 8x56 and wildcat mod.
I also use a lightforce striker non dimmer version with a wam caller. So as i walk around, I have magazine in, no bullet in breach, the pipod is extended, wam caller in my mouth. Once i have a fox near enough for a shot (i usually will take a shot once they under 140 yard) I will make sure backdrop is OK, sit down, lamp in left hand steadied against bipod, wam in mouth, load the gun, get fox in the scope, safety off, maybe give a blast of wam if the fox is walking, foxes stops, I pull trigger)
So that being all fine I reckon I've scared a lot of foxes away by the fact my lamp is too bright, however the striker dimmer has the knob in a place that you cannot work it with one hand......solution
I have bought the dimmer switch (on order) and am goin to clue / tap it to the handle in such a way that I can use my tumb to toggle it.
if you look at one of Robert Bucknells youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zB6E5-Nl9AQ&feature=fvsr) video's you will see he has done the same thing (glued a dimmer switch to a non dimming striker in such away it can be operated with one hand)
Anyone here have done anything like this?

Use electricians insulating tape and just tape it on

Or you could just raise the spot off the fox until the shot

true...but I also want it as it would save the battery and would be better than just raising it ove the fox

I got the dimmer from opticswarehouse.co.uk @£;30. It's rated @5amps but I left it running on my 100watt 170 (8.3 amps) and it did not burn out.
