Glee for French Oral?

Hi everyone. I'm doing a French oral in the coming weeks and need a TV show prepared. I don't watch that much TV but I was thinking of doing "Glee" seeing as I know a lot of the "school" vocabulary already. Anyone willing to help me summarize the show briefly in English? I don't watch it that much and as a show it would really help me lead into the Music Section of my Oral.

All I need is a paragraph of conversation. I was thinking

"Glee" is an American TV show. It is based in a high school. Mr. Schuester is a teacher at the school who decides to get a "Glee" club going in the school. It's a little like a school choir but with a lot more dancing and performance. There are various characters and different students. Finn is a football player. He gets ridiculed for joining the club. Quinn is his cheerleader girlfriend who gets pregnant. Rachel is a determined girl who wants to be a star. There are lots of other characters. I like the show for two reasons. It is realistic, e.g. Quinn becomes pregnant as a teenager, one of the boys (name???) is in a wheelchair. They cover a lot of modern songs and I like their versions a lot, they're very vocal.

Any help appreciated!! Mention Sue maybe?

    Hey,
I think that sounds great, it's nice to have a bit about a show or a film prepared. I think what you have there is pretty comprehensive. The examiner will probably ask you why you like it or maybe your favourite character so just be prepared to answer that too.

Good luck! It's not as bad as you think it will be!:D

I'm thinking nightmare scenario for you: your examiner is a HUGE fan of the show and spends the next several minutes trying to engage you in conversation about it - Sue's softer side, the Ken/Emma/Will triangle, their chances against Vocal Adrenaline in Regionals etc. So you either have to admit your lie, or act dumb and fail your oral!

I would stick to something I know, TBH.

It is Artie. Sue just calls him wheels - along with gay guy, asian and other asian!

I think it miight be best to stick with a show you know better too although you're right, the fact it is in a school makes it easier. It is a long time since I did my French oral though!
