    Hi all!

I am currently trying to organise my sisters hen party in Ennis. I'm form Cork so didn't want anywhere too far away and accommodation seems quite cheap here. My only problem is I'm stumped as to what to do for a day activity on the Saturday. The group is of mixed ages and there will be about 20 of us. I was thinking a boat trip or clay pigeon shooting (some-thing a bit different) but all of these seem to be a good 30minute drive from Ennis!

    Please help!!!

for one you should post this in the regional>midwest forum.

i'm not tooo sure what there is to do in/near ennis either apart from horseriding and stuff like that.. though i went to the burren adventure centre years ago and it was amazing, lots of fun things to do [the caving was the best!] - a 30 minute drive doesnt sound bad to me, im sure if you call the tourist office in ennis they will have some ideas and advice on buses etc!

I'm afraid I'm not aware of anything in Ennis itself that adventurous. There is bowling and quazar and pool :)

    Hi,

Within half an hour of Ennis you can go for boat rides on the Shannon, surfing in Lahinch, shark fishing in Kilkee, clay pigeon shooting somewhere (not sure where, sorry). If it was me I'd probably recommend getting surf lessons, it's good fun, it's in Lahinch so if people don't want to do it they can go around the town or just sit on the beach, there's some lovely restaurants around, can't really go wrong. You'd be able to get a mini-bus to bring you from Ennis back there to save you having to drive.
