Does anybody know what you do for the evaluation part of the woodwork project brief?

You analyse your project once you are finished it. You say what you thought worked well for it but you can/should also say what you would change about it if you were to make it again. Such as, I would use screws to fix it the next time as the dovetail joints were slow to do and do not look well now.

Basically you are saying what you would change about it and also what you are happy about. You could also mention one ir two things that you have learned yourself. Such as "I am now able to use the bandsaw confidently having used it to cut the finger joints for my project".

Hope this is of some help to you

I have mine assembled and sanded, I just need to add a lick of varnish and then I'm done. Then I need to write up the folder, which is partially completed.

Im doing the first choice, of which you have to make a freestanding artefact to hold a small number of books and musical item/items, and it must incorporate a design relating to what you wish to hold in it. I'll post up the brief later so you can see it for yourself.

Nice  I'm doing construction next year. Do ya think it'll be difficult for me if I didn't do it for the JC? I'm doing Tech so the drawing arts should be easy... :)

I think it might be difficult for you seeing as you aren't doing it for the JC, because you'll have to learn how to make all the types of joints and things like that :pac:

It shouldn't be that hard should it? My friend does wood (and he made me do construction :D) and my bro did it last year for the JC (and he's doin' construction now) so I can get help :)

You mightn't find it that hard so, seeing as you could get help from your brother or friend ;)

how did you all get on?
i did mine a few years ago, it was the bane of my life, took so much time after school, i absolutely hated the subject and i did a disastrous written paper, still got a honours C, maybe the examiner felt sorry for me :P
