Anyone find it literally impossible to get a nuke?

Seems fair enough me! I'm kinda doing the technique of holding ground and moving about every so often. Has anyone any advice killstreak wise, game type to lend me a hand?

Are you prestiged yet? If not, then you have a decent chance, but it's getting tougher as time goes by. People are getting better at the game, so it's naturally getting harder. It needs a good bit of luck overall to get that 25 kills. Playing against <30 level players is a big help cause they don't have Stingers. But also because when you are up against better players, they are more likely to shoot down air support quickly, and catch you with one kill to ruin the streak. (I know high level doesn't always mean good player)

Not saying you couldn't do it, but remember that you get those 30 killstreaks using your three rewards. Getting to 25 kills with just 2 rewards is a lot tougher than getting to 30 with 3.

I have had 9 nukes before 1st prestige but I've only a couple since(now high 2nd prestige)..

Once you prestige, the matchmaking (when it works) means it's harder to get a nuke. Basically you're less likely to see any <45 level players.

Scar is definately the gun to use but I wouldn't put on the grenade launcher. Go with the heartbeat sensor. Helps prevent you getting caught out and could locate that last kill for you.

This is the best advise I've seen for getting a Nuke. I've used the OMA before to jump around, but never thought about using it to get the Nuke. Cheers. Not sure I agree with the Scar or HB v noob ideas, but nothing really wrong with them either. But the other ideas are very good.

You're right. Pavelow count if you get one kill after you get it and before you call it in. I've recently found I get more kills from the Pavelow than the Chopper Gunner. I guess people are quicker to try to shoot down the CG for some reason. Harrier is now much more likely to get shot down also. You nearly need to get the kills with the bombing run, as the 3rd harrier doesn't last as long anymore.

It absolutely perfect for getting nukes, air support won't touch you, you can't be heard so all you gotta do is stay out of sight.

Well done ,only problem with that setup up is the silenced striker , range is very limited , but it seems to have worked .;)

I got my first nuke the other day TDM on derail,using the harrier,chopper gunner,could'nt believe I'd managed it large slice of luck involved though,harrier got me from 7 to 16 the most I'd ever got with a harrier,chopper did the rest.

Good tips here for a nuke

It's not a myth. It's how it is meant to work. Not my fault it just fails so much.

In the last two days ive already got my first two nukes. And the only thing I changed was playing Mercenary team deathmatch to Domination/Big Team deathmatches.

Its actually pretty simple but alot relies on how well your Harrier and Chopper gunner do. If you can get 7 kills just let your harrier do its stuff and more often than not youll either get your chopper gunner from it or youl just need one more kill.

Thinking about it, would FFA actually be a bit easier to get a nuke? My thinking on this is that in FFA you are maybe less likely to get people carrying air support from the start, or swapping classes to a Stinger class setup. In team games, you'll normally have one of the team either carrying it from the start, or else bringing it in quickly. I've not played FFA much, but with people playing for themselves rather than for the team that would be my thinking anyway.

I don't think so.whenever my friend(lvl 10*) invites me to a game I'm usually 2'nd highest/ highest ranked there(lvl 48*).It might just be a coincidence but I don't think so.Whenever I finad game using the matchmaking system the lobby is usually full of prestige players.

Tried yesterday using hardline, got my harriers easily enough, i was in my chopper gunner and just needed 2 more kill, i was smoking everyone in the chopper gunner when bang kill by someone called trex84 or something very frustrating.
