ARMA2 & CLANS

I've being play ARMA2 since it's release .Arma1 & OFP prior to ARMA 2. I'd normally hop onto any server with a high amount of players. The only problem I found was the lack of team play .Fine if you were with a clan but on your own with such a large map was pretty lonely. Then again I didn't want to join a clan that was too serious & full of immature idiots. By fluke I found a good clan United Global Armed Forces (www.ugaf.co.uk) I'm with them a couple of months now. I 'm the only Irish guy .There's a good mix of English,Welsh,Italian(we only have 1 at the moment) & a Canadian. We all get along quite well. We're also luck enough to have a couple of the guys make their own missions (great ones at that!) We also got a couple of servers running . We use teamspeak 3.We do missions or training on most Wednesdays/Fridays/Sundays.

    Must be over 16yoa!

Feel free to check out the site or ask any questions on this post .Even search for UGAF servers & come in for a game.

I just taught I'd post this because good clans are hard to find & some can be not so friendly! I know I've been in a few over the years..:D

I;ve had bad experiences with clans/gaming communities in the past. One called the 16AA were completely to the book: training, ranks, scrict. An anal clan, really. Tactical Gamer was great, but management started to veer towards the 16AA route.

I may check this out though when I have some time to put towards Arma :)

Yep ,I've been there. One clan i joined practiced & practiced how to dismount a jeep!

I wont lie & say we just mess about & nothing is serious.
We are split in squads for missions on the private server. We are ranked but mainly thats down to training & hours put on the server.

As i said ,the public servers have been up for awhile & we have other games running aswell. Feel free to join in for a day & see how you get on.
I just found better when i had someone explain how to mount the bloody weapon to a car or sort my config out & a bit of team play

Precisely the bull I am talking about. They wouldn't even do this in real life, what's the bloody point?

Yeh, I can understand squads and maybe a more loose ranking system, it does seperate the experienced/admins from the newbies.

Hey, at least they don't charge fees to practise mounting a jeep:D Or do they?

Pog says: We need to move north east and take out a BMP.
kdjac asks which way is north east?
    <max speeds off in a jeep>
infamous crashes to desktop &^$%&^% is heard in mumble.
Gonzovison shoots kdjac in the back of the head cos promac was shooting at him 1st.
Dman lands a chopper sideways and offers a lift, everyone walks the 5km to the town.
battlingcheese shows off his joystick with trackir by killing everyone upside down into a mountain in a boat.
breslin arrives 20 minutes into the game and revives everyone.

Clan material right there tbh :D
