Renault Megane Scenic EPU - trade in?

My Megane Scenic is currently off the road as the EPU suffered water damage. Cost of repair is just over 400.00.

The car has been reliable up to this point (66K km on the clock), but i've never really liked it.

I've decided to get rid of it and get something else. Problem is i've never sold a car before. I've not a clue what i'd get for it as a trade in.

Would it be worth my while getting the repair done and trading it in then? or should i just see whats out there and trade it in against it.

My budget is basically what ever i get for the megane + what ever change i have behind the couch.

In it's current condition it is next to worthless. It's hard enough to sell a fully functional Megane, let alone one that is broken.

Get it fixed then trade it.

Yeah, i think that's the best bet.

Just seems like such a waste. :)

Invest the €400 to repair it, clean it up and lash it on donedeal, if no one bites try and trade it (if it's clean and straight and NCTd it should sell privately for a fair price), but as you don't want to spend much with it you will probably struggle to trade it for any sort of a decent price to be honest.
