never posted in here before but i have a couple of mixes i done at the start of the year here if ya's wanna check them out. there all oldskool from the likes of the olympic ballroom, sides and the asylum as thats my fav time period in dublins dance scene

Made my first mix today, it's just over 30 minutes of hard dance. I'd appreciate some opinions on it

I kept the use of effects to a minimum.

It seems SoundCloud isn't what I thought it'd be, I'm currently on the Free account which gives me 120 minutes of music and 3 sets. I assumed sets didn't count towards your minutes as the Lite account lets you have unlimited sets and 240 minutes. I had an hour left and uploaded a 30 minute set and now it says I have 30 minutes left.

I was all up for paying €29 a year for Lite, unless when you run out of time you can still upload sets?

I'll have to have a think about buying a Solo account, it gives you 12 hours of time but is €79 a year.

Try using mixcloud for mixes, and soundcloud for tracks.

To be honest, It's hard to give any sort of useful constructive criticism cos I really, really don't like that style of music - I wasn't even aware that people still made that sort of stuff. It's the sort of stuff you'd have heard blaring out of a Mitsubishi Colt with tinted windows about 10 years ago.

I know musical taste is subjective an all but I reckon you'd be hard pressed to find too many people who'd be into that style. In fairness, some of the mixing wasn't bad but that's about it.

That's fine, I know lots of people won't like the music but I'm really more interested in hearing what people thought of the mixing itself. I'm also into house but I haven't built up enough of a collection to do a decent house mix.
