A week on and the dust unsettled by the Yes hedonism has yet to rest. An immense event executed with professionalism giving larger existing events a run for their money.
A certain chord was struck for us that day however, particularly relating to the rise of a new school of thought within Ireland's electronic force. It seems a generation has been skipped and a movement of young and talented artists has bypassed Dublin's scene and moved straight into the global race.

Musically, the 27th of March will be our proudest moment. ColorTv's first night of LIVE only performance warmly welcomes four acts all of whom are currently publishing and selling productions internationally.

Peter Sweeney returns to the Wax helm this time accompanied by Feno under their 'Hypertic' moniker. 'Less Ket More Success' achieved a beatport top 20 position which is an astounding accolade in itself but something tells us they have a longer, more important role yet to play in the industry.

Kid Handsome, borrowed from the Acitone label for the night, is another relative newcomer to this growing scene of independent activists creating techno of the highest order. Tracks supported by Hernan Cattaneo and 16 Bit Lolitas amongst others speaks for itself.

At only 20 years of age and already some acutely accomplished techno/tech house productions under his belt, Stephen Donaldson sounds like he's been doing this for a very long time. Born on, and bred by, the dance floor he has obviously quickly moved from listening to quality house music, to creating it. And apparently his live set, utilising some type of drum machine, completely rocks too.

Although a very worthy and experienced DJ, Conor O'Hanlon is using his slot at ColorTv to enlighten us of his 'T-Face' electronica venture and coinciding EP launch. There is uniqueness to the T-Face productions we've heard, each with a tough yet uplifting element that's as good heard while kicked back on the couch as it will be in the nether regions of a frenetic ColorTv session. We very much look forward to the album too.

That all said this will be yet another stomping from the ColorTv crew. ; )

Admission Free through Spy b4 11pm, 10euro after.

    Cheers guys,
