Not really cutscenes but I love all the dreams from "1000 of Dreams" in Lost Odyssey, wonderfully written and beautiful music.

At the time I was blown away by the Kingdom Hearts intro.
I hadn't played any other Square stuff so I had never seen the likes of it on PS2

Sorry for the default ugly sheppard too ugh, I'd make my own but fraps can only do 30 secs unless you hand over $37.

Pretty much anything Blizzard have ever done has been fairly jaw-dropping at the time - Diablo/Diablo 2 especially

As far as cutscenes rendered with the game engine go, it has to be Uncharted. Well acted, likeable characters and just plain awesome looking.
