Its like Colcannon, I never heard of it till ONeils Irish bars in the UK started to slop it out.
Has anyone had Stelk?

i'm a born and bred londoner and i first heard of it in donegal, on and o'neils REALLY was your first mistake
go to the Abbey in donegal town, they do a really nice version of it there, although think they call it Champ

I live in London I am not a Londoner. The Abbey never sold Stelk when I worked for wee Dom in the Diamond Club on a Sunday night
Like hundreds of Donegal men, no work at home hit the road to Kilburn0 -

you were born in donegal, you moved to london before you heard of this dish, or atleast that name for it. i was born in london, and i first heard of it when moved to donegal, or again, that name for it (champ).

wee dom no longer has the abbey these days, dish is served in the abbey resturant, what ever its called, last time i had it it came along with a dish called elaphants ear, a huge peice of steak with onions, peper sauce, chips or mash and the above mentioned champ
and hope you only worked in the diamond club, really was, still is a terrible place to socalise in 0 -
