If it brings money and jobs, then why complain?

Aaa sure why not, its fun in these dark days, its employment for some and its not picking on any group of individual.
...Unless a sudden hoard of leprachauns suddenly pop up! :D

Its part of what makes us different from the rest of Europe. Why not celebrate it?

    That wouldn't be too hard.
Give some of them a remote control, an episode of "Sex in the City" and a can of "Duff" - they'll be happy as Larry!

Personally i'm sick of that ****e but thats because i'm in America and i have lost count of the amount of fcukers who have asked me to say "Are you after my lucky charms?". Damn that racist cereal:p

This will confuse Americans too much. They already think leprechauns are real. I once got asked outside Stephens Green where they were. Tourists go looking in bushes for a leprechaun

No they don't. Maybe the four year old ones do but they also believe in Santa Claus and the tooth fairy.

You should have sent them to look in the garden in O'Connel street - and yes - there IS one.

First person to say where it is, is a fellow clever-clog. :D

Be funny if the employed some of the more unsavoury characters of the locality as Leprachauns..

Dude in green outfit with an orange wig-

"Hee-rre,c'mee-rre,I'll show you how to use the Luas machine, gimme yer bleedin' wallet,to be sure,to be sure"

Yes its cheesy, yes its probably "Beggorrah" and shamrocks, but d'you know what? I don't care. Actually, no, in fact I do care.

It should be encouraged. Why? Because Dublin (and Ireland in general) has decided its too good for tourists, and its a damn shame, because we have loads (or should have anyway) to offer.

I mean, just comparing Edinburgh and Dublin (simply because I was in Edinburgh recently) and you can find numerous things for tourists to part with their money with, such as walking ghost tours, 3D Loch Ness tours, museums, touristy "Schottist" pubs that aren't a rip off, Open top bus tours, galleries, trips, tours, etc etc.

What have we got in Dublin. The Ghost Bus Tour, the open top buses, and the museums and galleries.

And I've wanted to do the touristy thing in Dublin, but its very prohibitive.

Pubs are these metro crap that can be found anywhere, the touristy "Oirish" pubs, such as the ones found in Temple Bar, and Carrolls shops.

    That is about it.

    I welcome our Leprechaun Overlo...Underlords.
