Tracing a Dublin taxi driver

Does anyone know if its possible to trace a driver using his licence number. Someone I know left their phone in a taxi on Sat night. The really nice person (who was the next fare) phoned the last dialled number and told them the taxi driver's licence number. He was supposed to leave it into a particular Garda station and…

He was supposed to leave it into a particular Garda station and so far he hasn't. It has not been handed into the carriage office either. :(Just wondering if the Taxi federation or someone could contact him???

www.taxireg.ie Lost property is still dealt with by the Gardai but the regulators office might help on how you trace the driver.

he is probably parked on o'connell street at the moment, causing as much inconvenience as possible - have a stroll down and see if you can seen him
