he wasnt in the first 11 there either though in fairness, not regularly was he? i didnt think he was anyway

but i agree, his move to real was a bad decision by him and it may cost him alot in terms of development unfortunately for him

He was up until moving to Real anyways. Domenech, for some reason, prefers to use players in the French league.

You could say it was a bad decision but what options did he have? He didn't turn us down because our offer was never accepted as far as I recall (they wanted a massive amount due to Real's interest). So if its between staying at Lyon and moving to Real (where Kaka and Ronaldo have just joined), you'd move in a heartbeat.

Just hasn't worked out really due to the form of Higuain and Ronaldo.

Anyone know if this protest before the game against Milan is still going ahead and are there fans not going to go into the ground till 10 minutes after kick off like they were suggesting a month or so back?

    Heard nothing about it since?

Yeah, and Higuain is banging in goals, so is C.Ronaldo, so Benz is gonna find it hard to get in. Funnily enough they have an interesting game against Lyon midweek....

tbh i wouldnt want to playing Madrid with the form they have been in recently, they came through a tough test against Sevlle at the weekend and that will boost the already sky high confidence, Lyon will need a good slice of luck to hold on i feel

if im honest i cant see Madrid not scoring 3-4 goals

I am of the opinion that Benzema would be a smash hit in the Premier League. It suits his style of pace and power, and if he plays games he will score goals.

Rooney and Benzema would be a pant-****tingly good partnership.

If he were to sign for United, there would be so many "I knew he would be good all along" posts it would make for much hilarity. I just think under Fergie, like Achy said, we could have an absolutely world class player after a while.

He is a huge talent, he needs to be nurtured, he WILL NOT get that at Madrid.

Meh, seen it all before, they might but Madrid don't inspire any fear from me in Europe.

On Higuain, i said this summer i hoped we could have pulled a "We let you have Ronnie, give us Gonzalo would ye?" on Real. With the media circus there he could have maybe slipped out like Snjieder did. Absolutley no chance of that happening now.

hopefully that has gone away... the players need the fans there in full voice to bring them onto the pitch and get behind them from the start, not farting about outside then going in late, you think the Glazers care? the tickets are paid for whether the fans enter the ground or not

I see, hopefully not but like you say they prob will win battle.

its only going get more nasty too I think with fans patience. My mate lives in Manchester and he says you can sense the real hardcore fan getting more and more angry about it as it continues on.

aye i have family there who tell me similar

besides peacefully protesting or using their right to boycott games/merchandise there really is little they can do that i would support anyway

    Link?

Information on the bond issue, the financial structures and the credit facility
    here

    And
more analysis of the structures which transfer money from the club to the Glazers' holding company(where the PIKs are)

And some additional information on the PIKs and the urgency of repaying them.

What I don't understand about Glazer's ownership is why he's taking money out of the club and then having to pay extortionate interest in the meantime.

If we assume that he used 150m (or whatever) to buy the club and then used loans for the rest, why doesn't he let the club profits pay off the debt and then he has a 750m asset that's he completely owns. Instead, the club are going further and further into debt and as a result are losing more money (and consequently he is) through interest.

He is using the club profit to pay off the loans - it just isn't enough. United don't generate enough money to actually pay the loans back. Currently we are only paying interest on them (and not all of them) and still posting poor results.

Goal from the reserve game last night, from a united perspective it is the only thing you need to watch, terrible performance from the reserves.

We dodged a bullet with Benzema, I was delighted the day he signed for Madrid. He has qualities, but he also has application and attitude problems, he shouldn't have, on the scheme of things he has achieved fúck all.

I said no thanks then and I'm sticking by it.

    Fegie spot on again.

Spot on like he was with Berba and Tevez. Matrix like bullet dodging.

Yeah, just an excellent player who gets on with his game despite all the ignorant stick he gets from morons who wouldn't know football if it hit them in the back of the head.

When you're done rolling around your floor and your find you ass and reattach it go watch a couple of United matches and see if you can find a few games where berbatov is playing - then check the last time we scored where he wasn't involved in the buildup.

    Then go buy this:

Berbatov doesn't have an attitude problem. He just doesn't play football the way you and others may want him too, he isn't the type of played you and others may want him to be. The attitude problem is people expecting him to be a player he is not.

He does what he is told to do, what the people who bought him expect him to. He may not be as successful at it as he or Fergie would like, but it isn't because of an attitude problem. He has got on with it, tried to do well for us and not moaned. unlike some other players we could mention, like Tevez, who moaned constantly last season and is still moaning this season.
