For playing mp3 files through a car stereo with an SD slot, does it make any difference whether you use SD or SDHC cards (the unit will only read up to 8Gb), or whether the transfer speeds are class 2, class 6, etc.?

Am looking for a couple of cheapie 8Gb cards and don't fancy spending over the odds for speed I don't need... anyone see better than £13.49 delivered? I know I could shave off a few cents buying on dealextreme/eBay, but I don't want to wait 3-4 weeks for something to come from HK.

For small files like mp3 it should not make a difference.. high class cards are more important for cameras and camcorders.

You can look up the class speeds on Wikipedia, they're generally in the order of megabits per second whereas mp3 maxes out at 0.32 megabit per sec.

mymemory.co.uk is a good place for cards- cheap and free shipping
