If this Anon poster has nothing to be ashamed of with what went on in their past why have they posted anon? Afraid of tarnishing their name within AH? It was not treated like for like. The thread was sidetracked to what happened them as a child rather than addressing what happened the boy in question in this thread.

If the poster in question had started the thread as AnonAccount and then used his personal experience as an example then it would have been locked and directed to PI. The way i'm looking at it is that the poster created an "Anon Account" to contribute to a thread. Not a lot of people would have done that even as an anonymous poster.

Anonymous posting in forums outside PI is not allowed but there is always room for flexiblity. I just can't see what would be achieved by revealing his identity.

Perhaps we should all draw a line under the past few posts and start again.

Ok. Anon poster is reading through thread with normal account. Thread starts to touch raw nerves. Poster can't resist not putting in their view. So they make Anon account and post a very detailed and personal piece of writing.

If this thread bothered them to such an extent where they're hiding who they are then they should have made a thread in PI. In this PI thread they could have stated what displeased them about this thread and then put in their view of maybe the boy was giving consent, as they themselves did years ago when they were younger. Then the issue gets looked at from more than one view.

This thread does not have a 2 sided story. The woman in question was found guilty and sentenced. She groomed, abused, raped and took advantage of a young boy, repeatedly and even keeping count in a diary. Then this Anon poster enters and say "Well when I was 12 I was having consensual sex with a 19 year old girl so how do you know this boy wasn't having consensual sex with this 36 year old woman"

You must look at it from both directions though. What have they achieved by going Anon and placing such a post? IMO all they had done was have some posters say the way they see things is sick and pull the thread off it's originally topic - A 36 year old woman being found guilty and sentenced to imprisonment for grooming, raping and abusing a 12 year old boy.

All the Anon poster done was let off steam of their own issues. Which were sparked back up by this thread.

in relation to the 36yr old rapist and the 12yr victim i feel just as disgusted as i would if it were a man raping a girl. i cannot relate to this woman in any way. how can any female actually look at a 12yr old boy and think about having sex with them? vile.

Sorry that was a bad example. I meant that the post they wrote was incredibly personal so I can understand the wish for anonymity. For what its worth, I agree with you in relation to the woman involved. I have an 11 year old niece. I know some of the boys in her class who are also 11/12. I am 36. The thoughts someone my age having sex with one of my nieces friends is disturbing to say the least. Someone said earlier that children of that age are emotionally mature..WTF???

It is important though for children/teens to understand that while they may have urges toward another (especially younger or older than them), that they have to learn to control that urge as it may impact on one party in a negative way, especially down the road and where there is an element of manipulation involved or something. Christ, I'd hate to be a parent.

yes, this is what i was trying to say, you worded it more eloquently!

i am a parent and my daughter is six in the summer, the thoughts of her being in a friends house with the likes of anonaccounts children, being allowed act in a sexual manner, well, it makes me sick. if i found out that anonaccount had allowed it to happen, to be quite honest i think i'd half kill him.

just because you want to raise your kids to understand that sex is not a bad, dirty act, does not mean that you should encourage them to act out with eachother. it just isn't safe. nobody can predict how another child will react, if not immediately, later on in life.
