    Fair play to Dunney.

Aston Villa defender Richard Dunne on whether Vidic should have been sent off:
"They got a man sent off at Villa Park and it didn't make a difference. It's better to play against 11 men and it made it a better game. It's their day today."

Fair play, he's a better man than I am !

thought Berbatov was very good today. linked up play very well.
Totaly agree with this, thought he was excellant.

Delighted with the win, the Valencia to Rooney combo strikes again! :)

Hope Villa bounce back and win the FA Cup.

He's a class act on and off the pitch. Have to feel for him, poor refereeing decisions have cost him a place at a World Cup and a Carling cup medal.

I'm sorry but no they haven't. They've dented his opportunity but haven't actually cost him.

    a rather disgusting view imo.

I have a bet that Bendtner will score more than Owen, I'm happy he won't be playing for a while, not that he's injured though!

What did Vidic do? Good game?

    Well done

Should have been sent off after 5 mins.

In fairness mitch, its a hamstring niggle, its not like he broke his leg, i'm happy when rival players get injured meaning they'll miss important games etc as long as their not serious injuries.

An entertaining cup final. Berbatov had a very good game, he was in threatening positions on at least three occasions but nobody squared the ball to him or played him through. After Villa scored United dominated until the end.

The poster of that comment made it fairly clear he was making it as a Liverpool fan,
Its not like United and Liverpool are rivals for anything this season anyway.
Wishing injury on players of any team is pretty low. If you're relying on that to happen for your team to do well, good luck to ya.

    Back to the game.
Was in shock that Vidic didnt get sent off, whatever about anything he should have gotten sent off.
United did well after conceding the goal. Valencia had a great match, Berba obviously has been asked to justify his price tag and salary with a bit more than just a few fancy flicks here and there and in fairness to him go through a fair bit of donkey work today. Park also had a pretty good game.
Villa didnt really offer enough of an attacking threat in the second half I thought.
Villas time will come-they are a couple of squad players and one or two more creative players away from a big win. Definetly moving in the right direction.

i could understand if it was Vidic, or Rooney, or Valencia, but it isn't. The guy is talking about Owen, a person who has had little impact at United and is hardly a player opposition fans are dreading seeing on the united team sheet. He isn't happy cause United will be missing an important player for important games - he is happy someone is injured purely because he doesn't like him, thats it. It is a disgusting attitude imo.

Who cares about the cups? It's about number 19. 19 will be the sweetest of them all.

So its ok to be happy someone is injured if its good for your team, but not just because you don't like them? That's a little silly.

How is Owen good for Liverpool? Honestly? I agree you can be happy that they're missing. But he's just glad he got injured because he's now playing for United. Which just isn't right.

its as right as being happy he's injured cause it's an advantage to your team. Its either ok to be happy players get niggly injuries, or its not imo

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,181 ✭✭✭Iang87

its a niggle for christ sake and i'm happy he got injured simply because should rooney get a niggle then ye have to rely on berbatov and berbatov wont win you a game like rooney will ever.

also happy he got injured because he now plays for united and why shouldn't i be, the one thing any liverpool fan will expect from any liverpool player is that they'll never play for united simple as. Lucas is an exception ye can have lucas.

but fair play to united today and congrats to all those players who get another medal and i think Phil dowd got his first medal today would that be right
