    Hi guys,

Last night for the first time, I noticed what appears to be a small non-uniform stain/mark on the screen of my 3 year old 32" Sharp Aquos LCD TV. (see photo).

I tried to clean it with a soft microfibre cloth and some decent-quality LCD cleaner to no avail. It doesn't appear to be on the exterior surface. Any and all advice greatly appreciated. Is it put up and shut up or is there a way this can be fixed? (It's only visible when the TV is on (and backlit I presume) and can be seen while watching the TV (HD connection) or playing the XBox (component connection)

    Thanks

Looks like factory installed dirt/grease on the inside of the glass panel.
    • Is it a new TV? You might be able to get it exchanged.
    • If it's under Warranty you might be able to get it cleaned by the manufacturer.
    • If it's out of Warranty you might be able to get it cleaned by the manufacturer for a fee.

Can you tell if there's a glass screen in front of the LCD panel?

Similar marks are appearing on my own tv but they seem to be on the outside as I can see them best with the tv off and when a light is shone on the surface. It seems to just be dirt and the like. It does not wipe off with a dry cloth.

What type of cleaner can I/should I use to clean the screen? There is no glass screen, just the LCD panel. Thanks.
