Hi - I got a Sky subscription some years ago for a work friend who was returning home to Spain. It was her way of keeping up her English skills as she only watched tv in English. At the time I knew somebody who worked for Sky agent so got me the box etc without installation, and as I already had a Sky service at home, we put this second subscription into my wifes name. My problem now is that my Spanish friend wishes to up grade to Sky Plus ?? How do I get around the installation ? I can get her to send the current viewing card over to me, and I am travelling over to Spain in a few weeks time so I can bring new decoder with me. Any suggestions please ?

you could get a sky+ box from adverts,

get a new quad lnb, run a second cable in from the dish,

connect everything up and ring sky, just ask for the service to be enabled.

its free, so all you have to do is tell the person you got a second hand box.
once you have the card in the box they will ask for viewing card number and away you go.
