Upgrading fan on AMD 6000+

    Hi ,

    Just looking for a quick bit of advice , I have an AMD2 6000+ and the bog standard heatsink and fan .... it seems to be struggling a bit and was thinking of buying this http://www.adverts.ie/showproduct.php?product=186555&cpage=1&perpage=15#comment-1459364 .

    Any thoughts ? ....... just thinking of this as it looks like a cheap way of solving a problem that isn't really that important atm . Would it be quieter ?

    What socket is the 6000+ ? Is it AM2 ?

    The AC7's an old design,but a good cooler,and would probably be quieter than the stock HSF,just make sure the AC7 will fit in your case

    Yeah , it's an AMD2 socket
