    E18 is a bit expensive.

Over here I often order Hell pizza and for a 12", a side and a 1.5L coke plus delivery its about $33 i think.
    That is only about E16.

They brought out Hells Pizza here. There is just 1 branch on Wexford st. (afaik) I was fairly disappointed with it now I have to say :(
Pizzas are good in NZ. Spagalimis ftw :pac:

Lidl's basic Salami pizza, with chopped up chorizo/extra salami/a rasher/all three of the aforementioned, chopped red onion and mushroom.

Three pizzas for €4.99, then whatever for the extra ingredients.

Best pizza I've tasted. But will have to check out this Goodfellas one you're bigging up. Friday's the day for these things :pac:

Simply supply and demand.People pay for it so they are accepting it so they are going to keep the prices like that.

Went to pizza hut before with my family and we ordered something like 2 small and 2 medium pizzas with a couple of toppings each. Ended up costing between 40-50 euro:eek:.

You can get frozen pizzas for around 3 or 4 euro. It's ridiculous.

I think the best value for money I came across was Little Caesars. There's only a couple of them and I only know of one that does delivery. Even at that they're ment to be take out only.

The friday fever thing tastes like cardboard. Its a pity as the sauce and toppings are quite nice.

Loads of people recommend Chicago town so going to try that. I have yet to taste a frozen pizza that comes close to one you order.

    Opr

Takeaway pizza has to be the most expensive fast food there is. A medium pizza costs €18 from Dominos when you can buy one in a freezer for about €4. And you can go to mcdonalds or burger king and get a meal for roughly €8?

    Why are they so expensive?

Because you pay for it at that price.

As for the quality of the poo that goes into burger king you dont want to know.

The first couple times i tried that Chicagotown one i was SO unimpressed. but usually, i decide a pizza is 'done' when the crust is golden brown and the cheese is just starting to brown too. Last two times i made it, i cooked it for only ten minutes [as opposed to 15-18] and took it out when the crust was still pretty white looking, but it was perfectly cooked, and honestly tasted like REAL fresh pizza dough. made a world of difference. yum. especially as i had an extra dominos garlic dip laying around.

...it takes a lot of time and effort to make them taste like carboard.

A quick heads up to everyone about the best pizza in the country, if not the world. Pizzador in Monaghan town. Order Pizza Hot with garlic sauce. I'm quite convinced heroin is the secret ingredient as I often feel a physical craving for one of these. You're all missing out! A bit pricey but a nice treat.

You heard it here first :D

This guy got there before you but they turned him down.

The frozen ones are much nicer too.

They're so expensive because they have to pay for the "free" delivery, and I guess because they're "fresh" and made to order.

Dominos and Four Star make horrible pizzas. They taste so cheap and dead.

    Ugh frozen pizzas are manky.

Its a funny one though because a pizza in a restaurant often costs the same as one in a proper restaurant. I love Mizzonis and Godfather pizzas though, hate Dominos and never had a Four Star one. I am heading out for drinks after work and I know what I am having for soakage first. Yummy.

Freshly made up pizzas from Dunnes or Superquinn are quite nice though.

I've never ever paid full price for a pizza, there's constantly BOGOF vouchers coming through the door, or spend 30 and get it for half price.

You have to be pretty stupid to pay full price tbh.

Buying take-away pizzas can become a dangerous habit. Luckily I've found an alternative in the form of the nicest frozen pizza I've ever tasted: Goodfella's Meteor Friday Fever (tomato, cheese, beef, sausage, ham and pepperoni) €4, tastes exactly like those Rebel pizzas and for a young lad with a big appetite, I can just about finish the last slice. Highly recommended.

+1. That pizza is gorgeous. Although it goes withot saying that the pepperoni Chicago Town one beats it.

I generally get two pizzas for €3.50 in Aldi (or Lidl, I can't tell the difference).
    Or else ones for €2.

I am a sucker for an Apache pizza though. I think it's just the fact that you can get exactly what you want on it, and the lazy factor of course.

Pizzas are so expensive because people are willing to pay high prices, simple as.
