Has anyone else been playing the beta for Tiger Woods Online... It's a pretty good game to have a look at if your into TW games..

The chat in it had like every TW joke there is methinks.

The game seemed quite good (it's a browser plugin dealie in the same vein as QuakeLive [though without the killing :P!]).

with a few more courses a few more refinements here and there it's gonna be pretty damn good when it's ready to leave beta mode

Now its left beta btw, free to play 2/3 courses methinks and they want $60 per year if you want to play all the courses for free, with extra points costs if you want boosted distance clubs etc. Seems a bit expensive for what you get if you wanted to do it right (the microtransactions seem a bit mean), but it's good fun none the less.

I have been playing, really enjoy it. You can play a round in 15 or 20 minutes, which is great to kill some time. [ingame as vaggabond].

First thing I do is turn the chat off

yeah it is good game..pity about the man himself. Doubt there will be many games with tiger woods in the title soon

On joystiq or gwj podcast they mentioned that EA said they plan to release all their sports games like this sometime in the future, will be interesting to see how it works out. Oh, even if you dont have paid membership, you can buy useful stuff for prizemoney in the pro shop.
