How about baked apple? Halve and core the apples, sprinkle with ground almonds and some chopped walnuts, add a dollop of butter to keep it moist, and maybe a little bit of sweetener to stop it getting too bitter and microwave for a couple of minutes

Ben Dunne just said he is opening a new Gym in town in 16 weeks.
He was on Ireland AM this morning. Said the dunnes stores principle was to have the same quality but with less service, i.e. you might have to queue longer to get your stuff. He said his gym membership was only something like €175. He said his staff were the highest paid in the industry but they only worked social hours, i.e. his excuse for not being open late.

Don't know whether this is appropriate for the off-topic thread but I NEED to get it out of my system...

Treadmill = machine in gym that you 'tread' on
Thread mill = a mill where they make thread

    Ah that feels better :p

Can you get the ironworks IIs anywhere anymore??

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,144 ✭✭✭Parsley

Any suggestions on where to buy from actually?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 859 ✭✭✭BobbyOLeary

Pullum Sports seem to be the go to guys. I got mine from Holdall Sports but they were an awful pain in the ass to deal with.

As for the Ironworks IIs, they used to be available on the pullum website but they must be sold out of them. They were there when I went to buy mine about a year ago. Any particular reason you want those ones?

Hahaha "the shift". Haven't heard that gem since the old no name discos! The shift was a step above a meet wasn't it or am I getting this all wrong?

L I hear ya about the whiteness. I tend to wear tracksuit bottoms to the gym to hide them.

Dude if you're going to try it, either try it with sprints or front squats. It ****s you up!

Four minutes of hell... twenty seconds full whack, ten second break... eight times.

Is the focus of it to just increase aerobic ability or is it good for building muscle too or is it all just an evil ploy to get people puking in the gym?

    Try thrusters.
I intend on doing it as soon as I grow a set of balls.

Iv done Tabata on a Concept 2 rower....

I wanted to give up by interval 4 but was egged on to complete the full 8. When i finished i literally keeled over the side and onto the floor and almost threw up, much to the amusement of everyone around me :D
