I've doubled my airsoft collection in the last 4 months, and bought a load of gucci gear...but you're right, I'd better treat myself :pac:

Yea can't beat the aul VW and Audi TDi's ;).

On the same note though, am I right in saying that the Skoda Ocativa desiel engine's are the same as the VW Passat?

Probably, aren't they all the same company?

Going to America in sept, already thinking of gucci bits and bobs to bring back other than the typical clothes/souvenirs/STD's, so far Oakleys shades and tac gloves, maybe decent pair of boots, some surplus gear? Pretty much plan on going over with an empty suitcase lol

    Any other ideas?

Preferably ones that won't get me arrested by airport police, interrogated and violated in a body cavity kind of way?

As far as I know yea they are.

This morning I saw an unusual sight on the road,a 2010 Opel Vectra and they stopped making them in 2008 .

I've already asked in the Motors forum, but does anyone have a 2.0L TDi Audi or VW?

What's the engine like relative to the 1.9L TDi?

I believe the 1.9td is an 8 valve engine and the 2.0td is a 16 valve

Only on the newer models :) Not sure if the same goes for the Audi though.

I've been visiting VW dealers over the last couple of days, and I've come across a very good deal from a dealer for the new 1.6TDi Comfortline with some upgrades.

The other option is the 2.0L TDi Comfortline which would be a good deal aswell, so I've got a couple of very good options.

    Decisions, decisions...:D

Unfortunately, they don't offer the option of Multicam as a colour. I was disappointed. :p

That's fake and was done for the Chaser's War on Everything, a decent enough Australian sketch show.

Actually, I just watched it, it's fairly evident it's not real from the laughter track, I was originally going by the title.

Sorry moggser, when I saw that first a good while back, I thought it was real. Showed it to a couple of my friends who made complete mince-meat of me (translation: I got pwned).

    I think it's hilarious too.

    Here's a **** joke, literally:

A little fella walks into a bar. Unfortunately, there is a pile of dog **** just inside the door, and he slips in it and falls over. He gets up, cleans himself up and walks to the bar and buys a drink.

A great big man then enters the bar. He slips in the same pile of ****, falls, gets up, cleans up and buys a drink.

The little guy turns to the big guy and, trying to strike up a conversation, points to the pile by the door and says, "I just did that."

The big guy punches him in the mouth.

One of my favourite YouTube clips:

Watch the new 1.6 diesels, some of them are the common rail engines, I got warned off them by the sales dude where I got my new car. The particulate filter complains if you don't drive on long enough journeys, you get an engine light and you have to take it out and rev the bag out of it for 15 mins. Epic fail.

How long were you told the recommended minimum driving distance to avoid the warning light?

That's a big stumbling block for me now tbh, must take another look at the 2.0L TDi tomorrow.

The 2.0 TDi does sound nice with the 140 BHP :D and its only in tax band B.

Or is it the 170 your looking at?

No, apparantly it's a 110BHP engine. It's a 2009 model, since the engines in the 2010 models have been replaced by the 1.6 diesel.

I need to do a bit more research into the 1.6 TDi, so far I can't find any indication of any problems, but it's early days.

That's what I was told anyway in 2 separate dealerships. I was as surprised as you were.

That said, the 2.0L TDi looks better and better by the minute.

Just looked there,It states that they do on Carzone and on the VW Ireland website ,strange one that is.
    I agree with you,the 2.0L is a better car.

    EDIT
:No there right,on the Comfortline theres no 2.0l TDi but the Highline there is.

    Ah, solved that one.

I'm seriously considering the 2.0L, but I'd rather check the spec out to make sure it has some of the options I want. It's only a drive in the road to the local dealer where I spotted the 2.0L, so I'll go there tomorrow armed with plenty of questions.
