Was it just me or was the Active Europe website that LTC used for the registration a pile of muck this morning? I tried on numerous occasions to progress past Enter this event only to get a blank page. When it did eventually work and I was about to pay I was told that the event was full. Very frustrating!

Thankfully there will be 2 more chances to gain entry.

Is it possible to register for an event on that site without being a registered user of the site?

Sorry to hear about your frustrating time this morning.

I'm a registered user of the site and I made sure I was logged in prior to the event opening.

I checked about 3-4 minutes prior to the opening time and the event was listed and I was able to make an entry. My entry was completed at 8am exactly and, out of curiosity, I checked to see how many were left. Only 12 entries were taken at that time. I heard afterwards that all entries were gone by 8:15.

My point is that, in order to give yourself the best chance of getting an entry, you need to be a logged-in user and get there early.

Good luck with the next round.

Cheers for the tip. Will know for next time! :D

I looked on the Active Europe site at 7.55am but I didn't see it listed when I searched by date/type. I got the link though as soon as it went up on the Limerick Tri site and it worked fine for me at 8.05am.

It wasn't just you... the same happened me! I am a registered user but even trying to log in the site was crashing! When I got to the site there were 148 places remaining - I didn't get one though :(
