Theres a pub in Enniscorthy, cant remember the name of it. Its opposite the Antique Tavern. Real old fashioned. Half pub, half grocery. Saw lads standing drinking large bottles of stout in there, on a sawdust floor i think. :D

Hopefully ENNISCORTHY will see this thread and set me straight!

That place is mad. I can't remember the name of it. All the bottles in the window are manky with age. Its on Slaney St.

I've never been in there myself, the woman who owns it stands at the door peering out and shes scared me ****less since I was a child.

There's a place off Kildare Street, Leinster House I think it's called. It hasn't changed much since the 1920's.

They even have a prayer at the start of the day.

When the old men come out, do they still have dogs?

Nugents wool shop in Tallaght village. Every other part of the village has totally changed but he's still the same. And hopefully will never change-reminds me of how Tallaght used to be.

And judging from some of the shops round the rural area i live now,a lot of them must still be the same-in my local 'post office' you can buy everything from clothes to nails to food to petrol.
