    caseyann were you by any chance a customer of hers :ie as in one of her dance or drama groups with the promise of an apperance on arrrrte. If so its no wonder she was nice to you. If you met her when you were six I take it you were not in the pub or whatever so a parent introduced you. She is an obnoxious creature and one of the reasons I never watch RTE.

    No dance or drama with her.
    Yep first time i remember her was 6 and i knew her before that but dont recall so much.She is a funny sweet woman and one phone call doesn't make you a monster.

    Do you honestly believe that this was the first time she ranted and raved, granted it was the first time she was exposed. For all we know the hubby had been listening to this kinda crap for year's. I never liked her and long before the phone call. She has been wheeled out more times on RTE than a studio camera. Her latest offering Menopause The Musical just about sums her up. She abandoned a performance in Naas recently so she could yet again appear on RTE without whom she would be a nobody. She should retire and give some young talent (not her offspring) a chance.

    We have special homes for the homeless, so it's only fair that we should have a home for the talentless. Next door to RTE would be handy, and If there's not enough room, they could try for Hangar 6.

    Your beginning to sound like her tbh with all the slapper talk and gold digger schtuff. Of course we all rant and rave thats part of being human as is having an affair and leaving your crazy wife. You have obviously decided that the hubby was at fault totally. Now unless you were actually in the sack with them every night and spent all of your time with them you dont know everything about their personal life either. So I suggest you get the spare room ready and a big box of Kleenex in :D

    I ain't defending anything other than peoples right to do what ever they wish to do. I never claimed to know either of them and tbh have no wish ever to do so. You can't generalise. Every woman who gets involved with a married man is by no means a slapper or indeed a gold digger. You are the one occupying the moral high ground (on Twink's behalf) and would seem to imply that the failure of the marriage was entirely the hubby's fault. You cannot possible know that for certain unless Mr Agnew admited it to you himself which I doubt. You have sided with Twink as is your entitlement and I am just being devils advocate. Marraiges fail for all sort of complicated reasons known only to those involved. You have almost certainly gleaned all of your information from one source and have based your opinion of Mr Agnew on that. That in my opinion is wrong. I do not wish her or anyone to loose their home either. I still think that she is an old splosher that should retire and give someone else a chance.

    Don't know the woman so I can't pass comment on her. However, reading your constant defence of her reminds of that old story about the boy trying to plug the leak in the dam with his finger. Every time he stops a leak another one springs up. Maybe you should withdraw from this argument as you seem to be fighting a losing battle? is everybody else wrong and you right? These are simply my thoughts on this "debate" as, like I've already said, I don't know the woman personally. Mind you, watching her on the telly is akin to having teeth pulled; can't see the appeal of her at all.

    I served her in a shop one Christmas Eve and she was lovely. I'd had a whole day of narky old women being really rude to me and she was so friendly, polite and grateful. Her daughter was looking around the shop and every so often she would ask me to hide something her daughter liked behind the counter and then she bought them all before leaving as a surprise Christmas present for her.

    It was really sweet and she was really grateful to me for helping her.

    I also served another Irish "celebrity" that day and she was a right bitch (she actually used the phrase, do you know who I am? and I didn't have a clue who she was!!) so Twink's niceness stood out!
