In AH, there are so many people it's hard to fit in unless you are a regular.

The majority of the people in C&H know each other outside of boards (I know one of them and they said a lot of them know each other because of college courses etc.). I think this does make it quite hard to become involved there (though I do lurk there a lot, I never post).
    I don't know anyone IRL there :)
I just stuck to it and I like it!

Caroline: I know there are exceptions (like you and Jack) but a load of them do know each other.

They have meet-ups occasionally. I think that'd be soo awkward! :pac:
Alot of them go to college beers together. Once a meet up was tried to be organised but it failed due to peoples laziness/unwillingness to travel. Ya, i'd think i'd be awkward as well

Even if I became I regular I wouldn't go to the meet-ups because it would be just really strange.

We should probably get back on-topic.

They did have a meet up though in the end.
It was all collage peeps, but from different collages :pac:

Back on topic is right to whoever said it!

    'Meeting' a Girl
Who decided to call it meeting anyways?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,419 ✭✭✭WanderingSoul

    I don't know. I think it's a stupid term (and activity) tbh.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,840 ✭✭✭Luno

    Quite true Alexis!
Which is worse shifting meeting or pulling or any other form of saying it that ye know ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,419 ✭✭✭WanderingSoul

I think all of the terms I can think of sound bad . . . I'm trying to think now what's the worst.

    I think it's hilarious though:

Girl 1: Did you meet him?
    Girl 2: What?
Girl 1: Did you, you know, meet meet them?
    Girl 2: What? . . . Oh, yes.

That's funny! :) I don't like any of them either I don't see why kiss can't be used!

Worst one i heard is "scoring". It implies more than sticking your tongue in someones mouth.
this was a conversation from ic last year in irish of course
boy 1: this jammy bas-tard has scored twice already and we've only been here on night.
boy 2: well i didn.t even want to score the second one.
    me: what?
boy 1: he met *girls name* at break during the classes and he met *girls name* on the bus.
    me: right...
