There won't be a problem so no need to worry.

Well, I'll just assume examiners at the IST place will have full info on the people by the UID number.

    Thanks.

joeguevara, psni edited your original post for a reason: exact dates aren't allowed. So I would edit your re-post before it gets done for you.

I read somewhere on here that finances play a big part on whether a candidate will be excepted or not. How true is this and can anyone elaborate? Do you have to be financially secure, is bad credit a complete no no, i got a new car 3 years ago and gave it back after only 4 months when i realized i was paying nearly 7k extra in interest etc. i think i have a bold tick on my credit rating for that.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 48 peter_green

well if you're worried about your credit rating, i'd suggest looking at experian. it'll only cost you a few quid and you'll be able to see where you stand. and find out all the info the banks know about you lol!

It was a year and 5 months from I applied until I started training. And it was almost another year from then before I started in station doing response.

Well today the last day for applicants i am sure there has being another record amount of applications but you think it is though getting into the PSNI with approx 10000 applicants for 440 places try North Yorkshire Police where on the first day alone there was over 20000 applicants for approx 60 places.
Good luck to everyone who applied and for those of us still waiting from C15 the wait continues

Theres a brave raise in the applicants going towards the downturn!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 365 ✭✭wannabe2010

Didn't know they used to recruit twice a year! Technically more applicants applied between 2001 and 2007 as there was two campaigns per year with as much as 6,000 per campaign :O but 10,000 in one campaign is pretty insane all the same

Yup, and only 220 places per campaign too.

6 (Sept 2003) - 5419 - that was the first one I applied to lol.
