was quite shocked to be honest as i was under the impression the recruitment wouldnt be until march but i just happened to be on the site by chance

It is Bubba, doesnt hurt to play it safe though, especially if they do decide to lower the intake this year!

Just applied there now. havent been on here since last years campaign, suppose its time to move back in here and start the stressing for another year! lets hope C16s the one :cool:

Website seems to down again. I cant even get on to the main site let alone the online application form!!!!

Looks to me after reading the ASP.net error page, that the sites database is down. Must be a lot of people trying to apply this morning, I'm going to wait until near the closing date as I'm still in for C15. Good luck everyone!

Hey all,

I am applying this year for the first time and was looking through some of the existing threads. Some great info there!

This has probably been asked a million times before but there is just too many pages to look through here.

On average, how long does it take from the closing date (which is 12th February) of the application form to the IST > Assessment centre > Medical.

I know its like asking "how long is a piece of string" hehe, but just as a general idea. Whats the shortest time you have heard of and the longest time between each stage?

your assessment centre will probably be about 5 months after you first apply, that is if you pass the IST. Then after that its anybody's guess. Here we go again, hopefully this year will have some fruition at the end.

Just applied again so here's hoping 3rd time lucky.Read somewhere that next campaign(2011) will be last big one and 50:50 gone.

Oh really? I heard that this year was the last, I may be wrong though.

I do. When I did get on to the site briefly my heart was bouncing around my chest. It's quite sad really.

It is supposed to be the last one under the Patton report but the assembly are going to parliament later in the year to request an extension because the 50:50 hasnt met its target yet.

Just like to say goodluck to everyone yet again, been a while since Ive been on here.
I had to turn down a place due to a family illness ( which thankfully got sorted), does anyone know if this affects my chances?

I dont think that it should affect your chances Troy. If you look at some things on medical papers and on the website it says that you will not be prevented from taking part in future campaigns. I would imagine that applies for you also.

the site is prob crashing due to heavy traffic and being in Debug mode at the same time. doesn't help the server load. It'll be back online when Deloittes tech support comes back in tomorrow lol

I take it if the site crashes when youre half way through, it doesnt actualy submit anything ?

You just have to go through it all again when it is working?

Has anyone got anemail or anything to say that there application was recieved or will this take a while. I know it said on the site that it could take up to 2 weeks but just wondering should i have got a conformation email or anything?

It intructs you not to include an email address as they wont contact you on it.

When you complete the three sections of the application it will have said your application was submitted, and they'd contact you (by mail) within 2 weeks.
Thats it.

Yeah I know and that would;d be great. I'm just hoping they will have enough places left for Dublin, I applied early though at 9.50am so i should be in with a good chance!;):p
