I didn't. Sometimes anonymous pranks are absolutely genius and are truly epic lulz, but that was just malicious. Getting Oprah Winfrey to say "Over 9000 penises!" on the other hand, is absolutely brilliant.

BTW the 3 people involved in this wrote a guide for the owners of the epilepsy site on how to best secure their website and prevent anything like it happening again and assisted in the implementation of their recommendations.

They posted up 3 or 4 flashing gifs, which were taken down after an hour or two. noone was actually hurt.

    Found it.

So they just posted a message on her website?

    .

She read it out live on her TV program.

Why on earth is squirting on the banned list?

Yeah I know but she could have just not read it. They didn't really 'trick' her into it she just decided to say it.

she read it out because she thought it was a real reply to the topic on her website.

If you have to think too much abut it you're missing the point.

No I get it alright. It's clearly a ridiculous statement and she just went ahead and read it out as fact.

I just don't think it's as great as all that. I should be laughing my head off. What's wrong?

Maybe I'm just not in the mood today, I dunno, more coffee might help.

    :(

It's funny because it's Oprah Winfrey saying "over 9000 penises".

we're venturing way off topic here.

Because the government has decided that no respectable person would look at porn involving urination. so they made it illegal (not sure what sort of punishment you'd get). They also consider female ejaculation to be urination.

It's really just one more reason not to go to Australia.

Although sleeping with one Ozzie woman should convince any man that it's a country to stay away from. *shudder*

Just had a look for it on youtube. To no avail. Was it actually broadcast? And what was the background as to how they got her to say it on the show? Looked up google but not much on it.

Well my thread on some kids attack on 4chan and anonymous (which I know was trollbait but whatever) got closed. Suppose mentioning it isn't too bad o.O

I guess because some internet tiff wasn't really seen as worth any discussion, whereas this is certainly an issue worth talking about.
I personally wouldn't promote anything they do, or want anything to do with them.

I would. I greatly support and admire the protests against Scientology, and if the Irish government would attempt to do anything similar in terms of internet censorship, I'd probably be right there with anonymous doing the same thing.

They're a pretty ruthless group of people known for ruining peoples lives using social networking sites, hacking peoples emails, and hacking websites. They've even hacked an epilepsy website and put flashing images on it.

If you think they're protesting against Scientology because they genuinley care about the victims then I'd say you're wrong. They do it all just to get a reaction and of course, "for the lulz".

They are a group of anonymous hackers on steroids who form the internet hate machine, they also frequent the hacker site, ebaumsworld.

Anyone can claim the anonymous name for any reason, there's no real group, with no agenda or goals (other than lulz), just a load of people who will act under that name. Sometimes it's a name used for malicious intent, sometimes people with a genuine cause will use that name. I think that you really just have to view each anonymous campaign or act on it's own. I doubt that the actual people who protested Scientology were the same ones who've hacked the epilepsy site or hacked Sarah Palin's email.

I do think that the anonymous protests against Scientology were carried out by people who genuinely cared, I know quite a few people who were involved in the Dublin protest and I know for a fact it was a cause they believed in and certainly didn't just do it for the lulz. But that's anonymous for you, it's just a name that can be used by anonyone.

They are far from hackers in fairness. Bunch of scrip kiddies with fu*k all for doing.
Did enjoy the Scientology "raids" though. :)

    That is hilarious in parts.

"The bomb threat, now thought to be a hoax."

Now thought to be a hoax? What gave that bit away, the fact that there were no bombs or the bit where the guy responsible said it was a hoax and the FBI agreed?

That mother on there that said they were after her family, is that the mother of the 13 year old who declared war on Anonymous or somebody else?

No idea, and knowing Fox it could be made up, but that sort of harassment does take place. It usually takes something special to get that sort of attention, as the general policy is "not your personal army".

Also, here's another case of anonymous doing good, when they tracked down 2 teenagers who uploaded a video of them torturing a cat (anonlove cats :D)

I just think the idea of the group is hilarious. While I realise they're dangerous, and anyone who thinks they aren't needs to wake the hell up, you can't deny that their tactics work. Anyone who watched the Oprah winfrey video (dunno whether to link or not) knows how grossly over estimated they are as well. A pedofile network o.O? Wtf oprah... Between Fox and Oprah, it's easy to understand why some people would feel a little apprehensive about them.
