Hi I have Panasonic TX-P 50G10 and a Pioneer vsx519vk.At the moment I'm running the ntl through scart to the tv and and the audio through red white on the receiver. What i'm wondering is should I keep the set-up as it is or should I pass the video through the receiver even though it does not upscale and video content.

Scart direct from the set top box should give you RGB quality picture. If you go through your AVR you will most likely only get Composite or S-Video.

What I do, is run scart to the TV for "normal" viewing, but run the second scart through my DVR which converts RGB to Component and then put that into the AVR with the Optical connection for sound.

If you don't have a device that can convert from RGB to Component then S-Video to your AVR is the next best thing quality wise.

Sound wise, the optical connection is better than the Red/White RCA's so you can easily do Scart to the TV and optical to the AVR.

That's enough TLA's for one post.
    HTH... :)
