Can't open BMW doors

    A 1991 BMW,(not mine), a 518 I think, was left idle for a couple of months, including our recent cold spell. Now the key won't operate the door locks.

    Any suggestions ?

    Thanks, I'll give some of those a try, I note the first one mentions a 'master' key. The one we have has an S on one side of the metal part, and didn't seem to work on the first method on that page. May have to try one of the electric methods.

    That link is .net so would I be right to say that they're diagram of the driver door could possibly be our passanger door? It says that the door lock mechanism are mirror imaged. So if that's a LHD Bmw digram for the driver door he'll have to mirror the image for the driver door over here?
