Alternator for an 04 TDI Passat

Can anyone point me in the right direction here? I have scoured breakers yards all over the country for an alternator for an 04 passat tdi, (second hand) with no luck; accept one place in Limerick, whose phone seems to be out of order today. I have also sourced one in the UK (via partsgateway.co.uk) but I don’t want to pay…

Can anyone point me in the right direction here?
I have scoured breakers yards all over the country for an alternator for an 04 passat tdi, (second hand) with no luck; accept one place in Limerick, whose phone seems to be out of order today.
I have also sourced one in the UK (via partsgateway.co.uk) but I don’t want to pay for shipping if it’s the wrong part. (I was caught before) - Epically if they are available in Ireland.
If anyone knows where there might be a second hand or re-conditioned one, I would be very grateful.

P.S. the new unit is €220 plus the VAT. So I'm afraid it will have to be the cheaper option at the moment.

Myles Balfe (Phibsborough and southside somewhere) will fit a reconditioned one, or recondition yours if they don't have one in stock.
