Oh, and while I have no confirmation, hints dropped by Henaki/kensk on SRK/NeoGaf seem to suggest that Hakan, the oil wrestler who reportedly lubes himself up before (and during?) a fight, is flamboyantly gay.

Well, I could be wrong, but Henaki/kensk has long beet hinting that Hakan is going to generate a lot of hate.

Oh and DYLE, it seems more likely that Hakan in an oil wrestler (apparently a real form of wrestling from Turkey), not obsessed with oil or an oil tycoon or anything like that.

A rumour popped up a while back that Hakan supposedly greases himself up with oil (lube) either before a fight and/or during a fight, and he can do this continuously during a match which changes how his moves operate. Dunno if true, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is. They could do a lot of interesting things with such a gimmick, like greasing x 3 making him immune to throws (auto-tech all throw attempts?), though it could also make him incapable of throwing anyone as well.

Also latest Naki blog translation is up on SRK, and deals with Nerfs they've deat to Ryu and Sagat, being the 2 strongest characters from SFIV.

And more tellingly, the buffs they've given the two "weakest characters," from SFIV - Guile and Vega

In general, our weak characters are thought to be Vega and Guile. So of course, we've been making adjustments to buff them up. To give a specific example, we've increased the amount of hits Vega can take before he loses his claw.

His claw has a lot of priority, so in SFIV in order to make it not too good we made it so that it came off fairly quick. But the players all responded that Vega was weak, and I think this is a big reason why. So this time, while also thinking about general balance, we've made the claw a lot more durable as compared to SFIV.

And for Guile, in SFIV I felt that we didn't really capture his "footsies and normals" gameplay style, so we took a good look at that area and made adjustments.

It's supposed to be Kato, the Green Hornets "sidekick" who was played by Bruce Lee.

Interesting Xinkai would draw that paralell though as Kato was a product of the same production company that did Batman.

I generally agree but chuns is really shit tbh. But her 2nd alt in SF4 makes up for it, that was done very well.

They're all too over the top. Still have to see akumas and so forth though.

Juri's looks good actually. Gens is probably alright too. Can't really see him.

Ryu I guess is that kinda samurai kinda thing going on. Meh.

Actually...

I like mech Zangief.

It's a nod to the early vs games which are virtually forgotten now.

I like Maharajah Sim, special ops guile, super hero Fei, bling rog, bad girl cammy, killer old man Gen, and lycra Honda.

So I really don't think it's all as bad as people are saying.

Ken's really is crap though.

Honda's costume looks crap. I really like Chun Lis new one though,Cammy looks good in the shadowloo uniform. Gens costume looks like a nod to Pai Mei from Kill Bill. Fei long in the Green hornet costume is fantastic. Namco never tried that homage with Forest/Marshall Law. I can't believe Capcom still hav'nt put Fei long in the Game of Death track suit yet though.

I think the cowboy outfit is one of the best new ones.

Still waiting for Game of Death Fei Long, but they probably won't do it because Tekken got there first.

I didnt notice guiles spec op , sounds really cool.

I can't stand kens one at all lol. I'm meh about cammy, at the moment I don't hate it but I don't think much of it either.

I like bruce lee and all and I knew what they were going for when I 1st saw it, but the costume looks silly. I don't really like silly looking costumes. But yeah a lot of people like the quirky kinda stuff so I see the appeal.

Anyway the costumes are just a nice bonus and add some varation. I just wanna see those 3s characters in the game hehe

Of the ones seen so far, I think I like Ken and Balrog the best. Ken reminds me of Kevin Bacon from Tremors.
